From the small Medieval town of San Gimignano located in Tuscany, comes this delightful Vernaccia from the Cesani family. Cesani’s care for nature is obvious here, as the lushness of the grape shines. Organically grown in limestone and sand, thewine shows great notes of apple, peach, and wildflowers on the front and even a touch of almond on the back end. In fact I like this wine so much I’ve arranged a visit to the estate when I visit Italy this September. If you can’t make it to Italy, I highly suggest making it to the shop to try this bottle!

What People Are Saying
Excellent selection of curated wines and liquors. Wonderful staff that are knowledgeable to the point of knowing exactly what you’re looking for.
After spending most of my nights selling wine to locals and tourists alike, it’s a relief to be able to walk into a local wine store that can give back that same level of attention and passion. Amsterdam Wine Co. will always be my go to spot on the Upper West Side for a great conversation and that perfect bottle of wine.

There are lots of wine stores in the neighborhood and if you tend to drink the same kinds of wine all the time, there are other stores that might be more to your liking. But if you want to explore the world of wine – really get to know the multitude of wine regions and get exposed to different grapes and truly small, artisanal producers – Amsterdam Wine Co can take you on an amazing journey. Thank you, Amsterdam!
