Adam’s Pick: Domaine Leflaive Bourgogne Blanc 2013, $65
Sixty-five dollars for a Bourgogne Blanc? Bear with me here. Domaine Leflaive has very few rivals, and is revered quite rightfully as one of the greatest producers of white Burgundy in existence. This “entry-level” Bourgogne gives you a taste of the precise and energetic style made famous by Leflaive, without spending the $200-$1000 that its top wines can fetch. And at $65, it easily outperforms most Pulignys at the same price point. Expect pure orchard fruits and flowers enveloped within an intensely mineral, almost saline frame. Mouth-wateringly good.
